It is from the Spanish Civil War. I believe it is the Spanish Republic Railway personnel badge. It has erroneously been attributed to many aviation related uses but it is not aviation related and looks to be ground dug. Where did you get it from?

Hi and thank you for your answer It is not a ground dug just bad storrage
I got it a long time ago with some SS insignia from a Danish fellow who had served in reg. Germania. Perhaps he were in Spain too?

Is it worth anything?

I am not sure how much it is worth. I could ask my friend in Spain if you want. Personally, I have been looking for that badge. As far as the man goes, there is a number of ways he could have got it. There were Danish vounlteers in the Spanish Civil War who were on the Rep. side. I am not sure if there any on the Franco side. He could have just pick it up when he was in Spain. Maybe he trade something for it with a Spanish Blue vounlteer in the German Army. There are many ways it could have ended up in his hands.
