    Dutch NSB Lijfwacht fantasy piece?

    Hello all,

My opinion: quite a dubious item.
I got it from someone who said it was related to the NSB ‘Lijfwacht van de Leider’.
I haven’t found it in any period publication.
    I suggest: post war fantasy.
But I have been wrong more than once...
So: any suggestions/ opinions from the Dutch experts?

    Hi,

I neither saw it before, but the quality of this badge is great!!

Oranje, Blanje, blue are the colors of the NSB.

I am curious what the others has to say about this badge, but again it looks great!!

    Best regards,

    Rene

      Hi René,

Thanks for your comment and I agree that what ever it is, it must be NSB related, considered the Princevlag.
The raised sword for sure can have something to do with the 'Leider', but it is all guessing, I haven't find any photographic evidence.

By the way: would anyone surfing by care to take a look at this thread:

      http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=164544

This concerns also an item from my collection which puzzles me.
It is a printed Dutch tri-colour arm shield, both interesting and suspicious...

      Best regards,
      Martin

        Hi Martin,

Again I like the badge because of his construction and quality.

I hope to see some reactions from the experts.

About the printed shield IMHO this is a never ending storry, according Bob Hritz there are so many different types of Dutch shields (German made, Dutch made, home made etc.) that it is almost impossible to say it is a fake (besides the well known fakes) of course.

I think that is also the reason that there was no reaction on this shield.

Ps you have some interesting items.

        Best regards,

        Rene

This is not a badge of the NSB ‘Lijfwacht van de Leider’.

“ The raised sword for sure can have something to do with the 'Leider' “
No, this is whit arrows in hand
The raised sword have to do with the ‘Hoge Raad Discipline’
I think that it is a fantasie badge

          Best regards,
          Jan

            Hoi Jan,

Indeed the ‘Hoge Raad Discipline’ is more likely.
Always handy to have a copy of the 'Distinctieven der Beweging' around.

I will keep the badge in the suspicious box for a while.
Maybe someone else wants to say something about it?

            Thanks for your comment!

            Best regards,
            Martin

              ....

              Hello Martin,
I totaly agree with Jan, just fantasy IMO.
Well made but not so well as the real dutch made those items.
For sure You already knows it but here a scan from "De Zwarte Kameraden".
              regards,
              Max

                Hoi Max,

                Thanks for your comment.
I indeed have a copy of 'De Zwarte Kameraden' but I realise it is quite a time I browsed through it.
Comparing the badges you showed with mine, there for sure are large style differences.

I think I also stay with my first impression: remarkable but fantasy.

                All thanks for the replies!

                Best regards,
                Martin
