    WW2 Romanian Generals Uniform

WW2 Romanian Generals uniforms which belonged to the General George Avramescu, Commander of the Romanian 4th Army. He saw a lot of combat in Russia and was highly decorated. Note all the loops on his uniform. A Michael the Brave holder of the 1st and 3rd class, with 2 wound stripes received in WW1 and WW2. The hat and belt I added, but is appropriate. Avramescu actually wore and incorporated a khaki alpine beret with this uniform as part of his atire for when he was Corp Commander of the Alpine Mountain Troops fighting in Russia.

Close up view of Shoulder board and colar insignia. 3 stripes on shoulder board indicates a full General. The colar insignia is decorated with bullion embroiderd acorns. The khaki buttons were worn between 1941-1945.

I would like to reconstruct all the medals worn on this uniform. The family has indicated that all the medals were thrown away into a lake when the communist took over. Trying to find an original German Cross order in Gold and an original First Class order of Michael the Brave will be an expensive and painstaking task. I probably will never accomplish this, but willing to try.

Maybe it will be cheaper to hire scuba equipment and dive in the lake But it's a unique great display even without the orders!
