    Was wondering if anyone could provide anything on the pic...
    It was found in pics my greatgrandparents had....They left Czechoslovakia about 1911. Who's uniform is he wearing...?
    The cockade on the hat is unfamiliar...

          Infantry Private

          Jason,

          he is an austro-Hungarian Infantry Private soldier "Infanterist" of a "German" infantry regiment with a marksmanship lanyard. Difficult to make out the colour of the facing colour on a black and white photograph but I would hazard a guess that he is a member of the Josephstadt based Infanterieregiment von Rummer Nr.98 with light fawn facing colours. Predominantly a Czech regiment with just under a third of German-Austrians.
