Tailored ERDL jacket: thoughts and opinions wanted...

So I have this Brown Dom ERDl jacket (or Shirt) that I picked up at Chatham Militaria Fair for the grand total of £18.00. I didn't really like bron dom but just liked the shirt, I thought it would make a nice party shirt for a late war SOG base wear display or maybe a Covey rider. Anyway...

it has been tailored with short sleeves, epoulettes and side take-in tabs. its a medium reg but is now slimmer than a small reg. all seems really well done.

I was just playing with kit tonite and found some name tapes in the pocket. never sewn on, still have chalk marks and was wondering if they were Viet made? and if anyone had any thoughts on who would have had the jacket modded?

very interesting jacket you have there, if the US quater master tags werent iniside i might have thought thats an Asian cut jacket, i m still trying to find this type of shirt in US ERDL cloth, localy made, and not of vietnamese origin, i m not sure if the thais have made some, but i think that khmers have had some uniforms og 107 style and Erdl cut the same way as yours, i m still trying to prove that khmers had their own uniforms made localy, and not only the foreign made ones that we know they wore.

Well I think for what it's worth, the name/tapes certainly look correct for the period and fairly typical in construction, yeah I would say Vietnamese made from the pictures. And I feel the jacket has that right style about, but it is impossible to tell exactly with these back street tailor type stuff, could just as easily been made in the Philippines or Saigon? It is a very nicely cut Jacket though, thanks for showing us.
