I wish my English was better, I could pick up about 30% of the conversation. The stress in the voice of the team leader is unmistakable though.

Isn't that John Plaster as the Covey Fac?

        Absolutely Incredible audio!

You are right Bob, Plaster talks about this mission In his books; I was aware the audio existed but never expected to hear It.

That's plaster ralking to 2 teams who have declared a 'prarie fire' emergency, The stress In Mitchels voice ( RT Colorado) Is palpable and plaster reverts to his SOG callsign 'Plasticman' to let him know he Is there and to calm him down.

The other team Is RT Hawai which was plasters old team before he left to fly Covey. I belive they called in their 'Prarie fire' just after Mitchel had and Plaster was worried that he wouldn't be able to get to them In time.

Once again, thank you Patrick this is the most amazing piece of audio I have heard from the period.

        Yours, Guy.

I have the Garlic -trackshoe tape that plays well in the war room and this would lend a nice bit of depth when viewing the collection .

                  Thank you MHK.

I've seen a partial list of callsigns for that one but yours contains a couple I hadn't heard. You actually hear Plaster switching between callsigns when talking to Mitchel.

A good friend Is an AAC helicopter pilot who has just processed out and headed back east as a Civilian Contractor. He has a bit of time on his hands between jobs so he Is transcribing the tapes bit by bit.

Paul, would you care to share your SOG radio chatter, dude.

                  Yours, Guy.
