Of note on the latest posted berets and insignia should be the different shades of color of the berets! Also the different techniques of making bullion flashes. Each maker had just a little different style which can be attributed to the many different people involved in hand creating each piece. If you are looking for uniformity which we are all so comfortable with in other areas of collecting, you are in the wrong field! Alex I have not to my recollection ever seen a Thai made beret to a US advisor! Most Thai made items seem to be made up for the US Air Force which had quite a few bases there like Korat. I have seen quite a few bush or boonie type of caps made there, all with Air Force connections. Erich, I have not seen to many of these Phuc -thin berets around, maybe 15 or so. There is however another dealer that got a hold of some original foil labels and is having berets made up as well as soft caps. They are really hard to tell from originals. The Phuc -Thin berets can be differentiated from originals in a few other ways as well, besides just the labels! As per Erich's request here are a few examples of original LLDB insignia!Attached Files"Great hunter yes! great fisherman yes! fine figure of a man yes! that is all you need to know" Jeremiah Johnson.
