Help, more info on a shirt

Hello, would like to kindly ask for some support in this forum about an unusual (for me) shirt. I have posted formerly the same request on the WW2 uniform section here

    http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru....php?t=1029906

but some, while confirming it's a german made garment for Allied P.O.W.s, have also suggested this is a WWI item: is it something that anyone here can confirm? I would like to move it on estand, and jst care to market it exactly for what it is.
Many thanks in advance for any help.

An interesting shirt which I have not seen before. The stamp "K.B.A. IV" would likely indicate a Bekleidungs Amt or clothing office number 4 which would be a marking found on WW 1 and earlier articles. It would be useful to be able to read the words stamped below the name tag if possible.

Hello Pauke, deeply thanks for your inputs. The markings below the tag name are really very faded, unfortunately...tried several shots before, already, but nothing resulting better than the image already posted.

It looks like the same type of shirt offered on the Collector's Guild.

The K.G. marking is similar to the one in a Lazeratt Kleid I have and I have been told that indicates it was issued to a Kriegs Gefangener.

It's a standard issue WWI era shirt. The shirt on the Collector's Guild site is a private purchase example.
