I just picked up this WWI grouping and was hoping for some input here please . I believe the leather helmet Is a standard EM type , correct ? Couldn't find another one exactly like the felt helmet so any Input would be appreciated . Thanks guys .

Much better helmet pictures needed. The Filzhelm looks new/repro with a battered Garde Wappen that could easily be a copy as well.

Filzhelm is the felt helmet, wappen is name for the eagle crest.

Better pictures are needed of the insides, such as markings, stitching, liner etc.
of all 3 helmets.

Basically, you have a relic U.S. Gas Mask, (2) WWI German Gas Mask Canisters, M95 Prussian Pickelhaube, Felt Pickelhaube, and M16 Helmet Shell.

Agreed. Garde Wappen is also missing its crown.

Question: were Garde units issued Ersatz helmets? I have not seen an Ersatz helm for a Garde unit before.

I guess I should have been clearer on what I was asking . I wanted to share the group as I acquired It but was mainly wondering about the 2 Pickelhaubes as these are something Im not familiar with , especially the different crests . They both appear period to me judging by age and deteriorated condition . I did notice the crown was broken off of the leather ones crest and the liner Is missing from the felt one . Heres some better pictures ...........
