    Imperial glass canteen ?

    Hey folks

I've been advised to turn to this Imperial section for a debate on some glass canteens. It happened I came across someone selling some old pharma glass bottles and I believe 2 of them are soviet glass cantens. Could anyone with a trained eye in this sector shed some light on this please ? Am I really looking at 2 glass 1940 soviet canteens ? Some say the darker one maybe a WW1 ersatz for the prussian army (looks similar in pattern to the aluminum one). Thank you kindly

    Hello!

White glass rectangular canteen - Soviet WW2.

WWI era German glass canteens have a flat oval on the bottom, usually with a manufacturer's initials. They do not have a rounded bottom.

You are absolutely right, I was too hasty with conclusions. Until that moment, I thought that bottles with such a "rounded" neck - German. But in Russian forums they write that these bottles with an oval bottom - Russian WW1.

So left one is RKKA and right R.I.A ? Is that correct ?
