What are the give-aways on this? If I saw this at a show, I would not have thought that it was a reproduction. I'm not a helmet specialist, so please fill me in.

Mostly it's the stitching.

I think that watching what this seller has for sale there is no doubt that the item is very questionable..........................

The give away is how the darker pads and stitching gives way to a cleaner pad and stitching closer to the edges. If it was real age you would see it more uniform. As if someone applied a rag or something but could not get it into the creases. Real dust and age will not land on and discolor in such an un even way.

saw that one too and was ready to bid but then took a closer look. definitely a fake. new stitch thread and crossed on the rear when it should be parallel stitched, new leather that's "just" been folded and can't stay flat, all giveaways. remind me to thank the seller for his great pics
