M16 helmet decals

I ran across this helmet a few months ago in a militaria shop. Can anyone identify the decal?

Looks like a Garde shield decal badly worn, it wouldnt be a decal but painted on directly. I cant really tell from the pictures how its applied.

It does appear to be an original painted insignia of the Prussian Gardekorps, however; has been destroyed by a brutal cleaning.

Below is an example. I will post more pictures and details of this helmet in the near future.

Originals are very hard to find nowadays. I would actually consider them to be rare. The helmet I posted above also has the Company number painted on the rear... Rarely will you find these for sale.
