    Pre-WWI fire helmet?

    Can anyone tell me what this is? It is at an antique shop for $180. Curious if it's worth picking up?

        Hi,

        it is a fire helmet. However the star looks far too new. Check if it isn't replaced.

            IMO way to expensive. Save your money for something nicer.

              I assume the metal fittings on the rear beak are for attaching a neck protector?
