Copies of plates existed since the 60s,"galvano wappen kammerbulle" is far from being the only one to have made. Currently they are even made in India ...

You had the opinion of many experts, more knowledgeable than me, and you keep thinking that this plate is original. Continue to believe it if you want, I have no other arguments that those who have already been mentionned.

I am not believing in anything. At this stage such guard Pickelhaube plates represent an anomaly that is not accepted as the norm. Nothing more or nothing less.

All I am asking is who, what, where and why.

There is sweet fanny adams discussion about fake Pickelhaube wappen on this forum or any where else that is of any substance. May be it is about time there was a detailed study that could help and benefit collectors.

As far as soldered guard stars go, one could compare with the reservists cross on a Pickelhaube plate. Some are held on simply by the prongs being folded over while others have the prongs soldered.

To say that a guard star is fake because the prongs are soldered and not just folded is simplistic and some what narrow to say the least.

However, as I have already stated I am open to all possibilities on this one and interested to learn what others know or have seen,

Maybe an in hand inspection say by Adler or other pickelhaube collector might help in whether these are real or good copies... just my opinion

I'm sorry, but a hands on inspection will not make these plates original eighter...
The lack of detail says everything, they are even to poorly made to be issued specimens. No way they would be private purchase.
I also ran out of arguments, everything is already said I think. When the plates are repro, the prongs or other loops or solder don't matter anymore...
As Tony already stated... just walk away and look for a good one.
        Just my opinion of course...
