Excellent photos like that make a determination really easy...it's right as rain. That kind of patina and wear is almost impossible to fake.

That's a good question Jerry. It shows a lot of natural patina from aging, but appears the front may have been chemically darkened or painted.

Nice buckle. Is the body magnetic? I have a some buckles that are brass or nickel over steel. I was thinking the darkening might be wearing down to the steel. Just a thought.
