    Leib-Husaren Shoulder board Question

Curious if anyone knows what these boards on my tunic denote. Thanks in advance

The wider darts indicate an officer a.D. (außer Dienst) i.e., retired.

I have found some additional information, which makes more sense in regard to your hussar tunic. In addition to the officer a.D., there was a similar special hussar strap with these wider darts for two years of attendance at the cavalry riding school.

Makes perfect sense. So essentially he served in the Calvary but if this guy was retired then what purpose would this uniform serve? Der Rittsmeister has a similar tunic with identical boards on his site but I can't for the life of me explain why the sleeves on his tunic are so dang long lol ( May also explain why he can't seem to sell it)
