Did they ever made this kind of filz helmets or is it a fake ?

I personally do not recall seeing a real one before, but that does not mean much as I have not seen it all, but this one does not look anything like the fake series made in the UK circa 1960s-70s that I am familiar with.

Everything that I see in these photos (they could be better with more close ups) looks like an original filz helmet. I say a very nice example at this point.

This is a totally bogus fantasy item! I've seen one other, equally fake...someone just got a little TOO creative...

Agree with Arran, we discussed this on another forum, and I personally held it at SOS. IMO I think it is a very well made Fake.

If it is a bogus fantasy item that would explain why I have never seen a real one! Some of these can look very good (to me) in photos, but be very different when I see them in person.

I started really looking at both good and bad filz helms in the later 1970s and I have tried to keep up with them since, but I can certainly believe those that say this one is a fake.
