Yes, and Yes. Do you have a picture of the backside? You should have snagged that beautiful matching pair Eric recently had up for auction.

One mag pouch is currently holding up my Mannequin project. It's listed at Great war so with the posting as to it looking ok from the front I am sure it's on on the back.

What should one of those be priced at? Are there any sites selling them for a decent price?

Knowing Rick unless he says its lacking it'll be ok I'm sure. take a look at this thread started by Floris I made up a cut price dummy for an example it's had a lot of visits and become cool for odds and ends.

What should one pay for a pouch like the one in the OP?

It's been a while since I paid attention to the prices of ammo pouches but the one in the GWM catalog is a bit high. For one in that condition on eBay I'd expect something closer to $50. If you're patient you'll find much better examples on US, German, or French eBay. If you're really patient you'll eventually find two that are more or less matching in terms of construction and condition.

I think I have waited long enough. I think I started the mannequin project back in 2009!

I can't put anything on the mannequin unless I get a better pouch then the one I have. I have two, one can be put on the belt but putting it on and removing it every time I want to add a piece to the belt will see the leather strap on my black one fall off.

This is why I need a better condition pouch.

I don't think they made the M09 pouch during that time frame. Besides, it has brass hardware. Did they use brass after 1915? What is the mark on the reverse? If it weren't out of focus, I think it would be legible.

SO that last one posted in WWII?

This is why I hate buying them on Ebay. People don't even know what they have.

I might have to reassess my off-the-cuff $50 estimate in my post below. I just noticed that a decent pair (matched dates/maker) sold for $260+ on eBay recently. Is it just me or do prices on good WWI stuff seem to be going up very rapidly? Could it be as simple as the looming centennial? Granted, real quality will always sell but I'm seeing even average items go for what only a few years ago would have been "crazy" prices. I'm really glad I started collecting WWI German 20 years ago!
