that 70 stamp is very repro looking, and a 70 size shell would be 72 cm on the outside, not 70. isn't that the rule?Last edited by luftwaffenkopf; 01-25-2014, 03:45 AM.

The stamp pretext looks to have a 'V'? anyone else?
First foremost wanted to determine it isn't close to a size 68 which it isn't. My unissued M17 68 measures 68cm give/take weighs 12.42 lg less chinstrap, planchet #R1422 from the stahlwerk röchling völklingen mill. regarding left skirt size stamp the helmet doesn't have one.
The only steel liner band dimension I have is 65.3cm for a 66 shell.
Interesting helmet does it have a mill letter and number inside the crown area?
