Canteen cover info needed

Hi would this corduroy type cover be available early 1915?

Good question not quite sure the flask does have the full harness though I don't see why not some had the earlier felt too.

for me y say yes,in 1915 the beginning of the erzats,so it is possibel,,the bottel has now date? than you now from whitch year she is ,

Thanks guys, the canteen is dated 16, I want to get an early '15 set together, and was wondering if the felt cover was more appropriate. Although I like this one, and would keep it if it worked out.

there is your answer,she is from 1916,but you can use the model 1907 perhaps they where also still in use and when you place one for 1915 now problem,

I don't think corduroy would be wrong for early 1915, but felt would be more likely on this M15 canteen. As Kemmelberg1920 says, an M07 or Ersatz M07 (steel version) would be best.
