        The lining looks credible. What he is calling the owner's name appears to be a manufacturer or dealer name "Heller". I have seen it before and I am not sure if it is from the imperial period. The font, ink and placement in the cap make me think it might be a costumer's stamp.

          The velvet band for officer's is correct. This is my favorite Imperial regiment.
          Very curious that so far, no bids on this cap, which, if authentic, usually sells for $1,200-1,500, or more.
          Could it be one of those veterans' caps from the 20's & 30's?
