    hello from germany !

got them today. normally i do not collect uniforms, but i like these two very
    much.

they said that the owner was a prussian military official in the rank of an 1st lieutenant. very nice made, backside in dark blue.

    Hello römischIX,

The Beamten rank is equivalent to the army rank of Oberleutnant, but that is not the name of the rank. The name depends on the section that the Beamte is part of (Kasenwesen, Proviant, usw.).

I don't have access to my library at the moment, but if memory serves me, the dark blue underlay indicates Militär-Gericht (military justice/courts branch).

    Regards,
    Chip

        Joe,

I'm back home now, where I can confirm this. Proviant-Amt underlay is yellow. I was incorrect with my guess, as the Militär-Gericht is a lighter blue. The dark blue is Lazarett u. Sanitätsämter. The blue darts (Faden) are used on all Beamten boards.

        Regards,
        Chip
