    My first Imperial belt buckle

I hope its legit. Picked it up at a little store in Minnesota this weekend for a decent price, so I took a shot. The only thing that made me wonder was how the prongs were attached to the tube. The prongs are cut on four sides equally and the stamped steel appears pretty crisp.

It appears that it was a field gray painted model, does that seem right?

    No problems with that one.

This type with the tube prongs was produced in the second second half of 1917 (may be even earlier) & throughout 1918.

Grey/ field grey finish looks original and honest plus it is all there except for the high points which is desirable.

A nice affordable piece of WW1 history and well worth picking up,

    Chris
