Here is another medical related cap, that of a Krankenträger. The band and piping are Karmasinrot. This cap also had a visor at one time, as was the norm. It was removed during the period and re-sewn. It's marked "B.A. XIV 1916".

You have seen everything I have at one time or another, I think I have only seen the tip of the iceberg with your collection, and your stuff is all top drawer too. I have a big hole in my book case waiting for your book too.

Well, given how long I have been collecting and the fact that I bought nearly all of my caps many years ago when they were cheap by today's standards......

It's no great feat getting a lot of quality caps if you have been looking for them for over 35 years!

I had not added to my cap collection since 1993. This year I found an extremely nice Saxon example and it was the only large state that I did not have an example from. So, I bit the bullet and bought it. The price was over four times what I paid for any of my other caps, so I know what you mean about today's prices.
