Hello folks! Here's a damn nice WWI Prussian Pillbox cap that I just acquired yesterday along w/a nice WWII US AAF IKE jacket group. This is the first of these I've owned in a long time, and I have to say, w/ the exception of a missing bladk / white Prussian cockade, is in about as nice a condition as I could hope for. Only one small moth hole in the rear, otherwise in very clean condition, and best of all, clearly maker and unit marked (J.R. 69) and dated to the lining. It's actually a quite decent size to boot! I've uploaded a few pix for your perusal and comments. Also, if anyone happens to have a spare original black / white cockade for this hat w/ consummate wear for sale, I'd be interested in hearing from you. Thx!

Thanks Guys. I was pretty pleased to get it. It really is in FINE shape. A few weeks back, I actually had a local resident come in to my shop with a WWI French air service soft wool cap, with a plethora of bronze French "town" badges pinned to it along with a nice bonus, a USMC WWI cap sized EGA and marksmanship badge also. It too, was basically free from moth damage...a real treat as most of the time, (from my experience), these things are moth fodder when found. Thx again for your comments!Last edited by Milton; 01-27-2011, 07:50 AM.
