    Chocolate rations questions

    Hello;
    I am hoping someone can provide information about the type of chocolate used as a ration in WW1. Also, any information about packaging and makers is welcome. The Luftschiff crews found that their chocolate rations were one of the few edible items in frigid altitudes, although the creation of self-heating rations helped later on. Thanks for any help.

    Interesting question Bob
    Does anyone have a list of "If we are lucky" daily rations as well as iron rations
    carried. Do they include chocolate?

      I emailed a really nice friend of mine in Germany regarding rations.
      I tell you this Gent is top draw. Thanks if your watching.

If there was chocolate cookies, etc. then on his behalf...But I think during the war they carried what they could receive and sometimes it was nothing!
      The special military small issue food like in WW2 wasn`t around. Most small food packing which could carried inside the Tornsiter were the standard ones which most people could usually buy in the Reich...
