I agree with Sven,the buckles are reproductions.
I recently posted a Bavarian buckle with the similar crap detail around the outside of the centre disc,but with a different set up at the back.
Looks like the prongs are cut in the opposite directions on both buckles too,which is no good as well.
I've only been on the WAF for a short time but have learnt so much,a great place for knowledge.

Both buckles are reproductions. Study the catches and that will tell you alot for future purchases. The faces too are a give away but harder to detect at first glance.

Yes, I agree w/Jerry, Spike, and Sven. Sorry to see that you got burned by a couple of these. I did earlier this year on eBay w/a Bavarian example.

Thanks for the comments Gents... much appreciated. After a little verbal combat with the seller they will be returned today for a refund. I think I'll stick with the helmets.
