    Prussian buckle-variation

    Hey fellas
Received this buckle yesterday with some others I'll be posting on the Belts and Buckles Forum.
I have seen this variation before with no securing holes at the back, the roundel has been soldered or sweated on from the front.
It feels and looks good to me,but I'm still learning.
Hopefully get some thumbs up for this one and some more info. on this variation.
    Thanks
    Spike

      Hi Spike,

No problems w/the rondel soldered directly to the front of buckle. They did this. Some of mine are manufactured this way.

This is the first buckle I've seen w/"U" shaped retainer catch, and the matching "U" shaped configuration for the belt size adjustment points. Interesting manufacturing style!

Looks like a good buckle, no worries!

      All the Best,

      Alan

        Spike,

        a nice variation
and most likely a private purchase version of the official prussian buckle.
