    Mecklenburgisches Grenadier-Regt. Nr.89 shoulder straps

Since I have doubts about the Werft-Division cap I picked up from Weitze, I am returning it and trading for these shoulder straps (since my family came from Mecklenburg-Schwerin). I would like expert opinion on them since I am new to all this. I personally like them and think they have the proper age and look.
    Any input is appreciated!

You'll have to go to a militaria show and yell out "I need an expert!" and they will come running. But as a collector, I can tell you those are absolutely S-U-P-E-R-B printed originals. Very difficult to find.

Thank you so much for your input, Tony! I have been digging and researching trying to find original photos of G.R. 89 soldiers, but they are quite hard to come by, especially one year volunteers.

Once again, thank you very much Tony

Email me. I'll send you a high res very good one with a very clear shoulder strap view.

Mecklenburg straps are hard enough to find (ask Tony ), but examples with one year volunteer piping are rare. I can only imagine what Weitze would ask for such a pair.

I had already spent the money on the cap I am returning, so I figured go for it. Probably would never have this opportunity again! I think, in USD, they are around $450. Can you imagine how much the entire Waffenrock would cost?!
