Careful Eric. I think that wink means your boots might not find their way back to you if sent.

The boots cleaned up nicely and everything looks good. The shafts looked short in your original photo, but if they are 31cm you should be happy with them. It's not easy to find a pair of period boots in good condition or not reworked, so I think you are set. Congratulations!

        Hello Chip,

it the "shafts" are only 25CM to 26CM, would that mean that they are not WW1 ?

I thought the boots got shorter in 1917 ?

          Chris,

I have not seen any evidence that was the case. Where did you hear this?

Landsturm Troops often wore shorter marschstiefel not to be confused in pictures showing where the soldier has folded over his hosen to keep out debris.

              Hello guys,

Well, I finally pulled the trigger on a nice WW1 Camo helmet. There are a lot of
them around but rarely complete and undamaged.

Also not wanting to buy such an item on ebay I decided to buy one from the
latest AGM catalog, which is 100% trustworthy.

And here she is, a nice M16 with early leather liner band, complete with chinstrap
and all leather pads. Nicely marked and with a good amount of camo still there
but with that distinguished battle look.

Hope you guys like it. Still need to pay and get this beauty, I can't wait!

Nice one! I wish I would get up dates when the new catalogs are coming out with AGM. They got some stuff I need but the prices!

Hey William, you can sign up for their updates. One came through to my email the day before yesterday announcing its eminent release.

I been signed up, they got a glitch going on. I told them a year and a half ago and still no up dates. I thought all this time they just were not offering much. I wrote again and they say it's fixed now. God knows what I have missed.

Sometimes its best not to know what you've missed...

Maybe try re-registering under a new login, you'll probably need a new email but its worth the effort.

                          Very nice helmet Floris!

Stop spending so much time in that armageddon bunker.

The latest update had some great items, most of which sold in minutes. An hour after the opening, 95% of the imperial section items were sold. You not only have to have the substantial wallet, but you have to be fast too.
