Regarding the boots, I would say that they look good in comparison to my pair. Mine are marked on the sole "XII 16" and "30 II". I believe the XII 16 means December 1916 (there are no letters - B.A.) and the 30 is the boot size. These marks would be obliterated as soon as the first set of hobnails wore out. Fortunately, my boots appear to only have been worn once for a stroll across the barnyard. They have a few bits of straw stuck to the heel, but no wear what-so-ever.
According to Kraus the woven boot pulls were used until 1916 when orders came out to replace them with scrap leather strips, due to the cloth shortage. Later, in 1918, the leather was ordered replaced by papercloth strips.
My only concern for your boots is the length of the shaft (measured from the top of the heel in the rear to the top of the shaft), which looks too short. Once again, I refer to Kraus, who says that the length should be 31-35cm. My pair measures 31cm exactly.
