Suspect Size 70 M16 measurements

OK guys I just got back from where I store my collection. Most of it anyway. I took some comparison shots with the verified size 68 you will see as the original but faded camo with the suspect size 70's re painted M16.

I will let you all decide on this but from what I get it looks like I have a Size 68 camo repaint and not a 70. Had to place the tape on the outside. With the liners in no wa to do it from the inside.

In each photo up load I'll put the verified 68 camo and follow it with the suspected size 70.

For this shot I started at the 2 inch line just so it could be held in place. Just keep in mind I did both helmets the same way.

As you say it looks for sure a 68. Still, nice helmet.
Anyone out there have a marked Size70? I,ve never seen one. Is it true only ET,TJ and W made them. So much to see and learn, so little time.

Well damn owning this helmet has become less attractive now that I think it's a 68.
Still I wonder why a size 68 steel band liner would not fit into it right but would the next helmet....
