    Officers Mantel

    Hi Guys

    Have just got this WW1 period Prussian officers mantel in. Its very fine quality taylor made and fully lined in silk. I was told by the seller that it was for a flugel adjutant. There are no boards on it. Does any one have any similar or can give me any info on what determines rank etc with a coat like this? What should I have paid for it?

        Well I dunno I hear the mantel does not sell for big bucks. If you know where to find an EM version let me know!

          Thanks yes I think your right that the coats go for less than tunics. Does anyone have any knowledge of these? The red lapels, does that indicate general staff?
