Whats a Broken WWI German Chin strap worth?

I am trying to come up with a reasonable offer on the helmet that is for sale on ebay the one again seen in this photo.

So far I got an idea on the parts,

Repainted German Helmet size 62 - $90.00 to 120.00 USD

Original steel liner band - $20.00 to 36.00 USD

Mis matched Original Liner pins re painted - $30.00 to $40.00 USD

Repro pads - (worthless)

Broken Chin Strap (in two places) $?????

Guys what's an original broken chin strap worth? See photo for where it's broken and I have no idea what that thing is on the strap? Looks like leather but no idea what it's for. Strap otherwise looks original.

Its just a piece of the strap laying on top. The hardware must be worth $10-15 I would of thought.

Comeplete and whole chin straps sell for 200 to 300 dollars on a normal day. Don't know what kind of value to put on a busted up one. Drastically lower in price but how much so is the question.
