    A size70 WOW
This is incredible. Can you post some photos including shots next to a 68 or even a 66.
There not even shown in ref. books. This is a quote from 'Helmets of The First World War' (Haselgrove). "It is alleged that a size 70 was produced, but to date no example has been encountered by the authors".
Maybe the 70 was,nt marked? Looks like Chucks 2010 luck has rubbed onto you!

I got the suspect size 70 before I even knew of Chuck so not so much. I'd like to get it verified. Just tell me where I can take it to find out? Would a science class at the college have the tools to get a solid reading on it? Do you do it from the outside or the inside?

I will take the requested photos but don't know when I will be able to. I've seen a post or two in the Waf Helmet forum where a member or two has said they have a 70 in M35/40 Etc.

Hey if the helmet can be proven to be a 70 any idea what it's worth as a repaint?
Here is an inside shot when I first got it.

Its easy. Just run a tailers tape or a piece of string around the inside of the rim in line with the center of the rivet holes, should read 70cm.(shade under 27 5/8") Good luck.

            Cyrano,

Your pins went out yesterday! Wait it's past mid night. They went out on the 18th.

              Cyrano,

I picked up some repro pads from where I store my collection. If you want (Free) them PM me for an address. I was wondering if you might send me an SASE for them?

I might have some originals to part with but they'd not be free and I am not sure the liner they came to me with is bad or not so not sure if they are for sale. I might want to keep them together.
