Sorry about that Hans. I didn't intend to interrupt your post. Perhaps, the moderators can move mine so that your photos retain continuity.

NICE!! A good M-18 is the missing link in my collection. Last one on Ebay worth bidding on went for over 1,600 dollars

Hello, here's one of my M18 helmets...
It's stamped Si 62 (produced by Eisenhüttenwerk Schlesien, size 62) with chinstrap marking
                          1918

                            Hans,

Is the chinstrap maker "F. Scheuermann". It's a bit hard to read, but the only close possibility for Offenbach.

                            Berhard,

Your chinstrap maker is very difficult to see. I can make out "Warenfabrik, G.M.B.H." in the second line and the location looks like "Wiesloch", which is southeast of Heidelberg. I cannot make out anything in the first line, though I am assuming that the last work in the line is "Leder-", as in Leder-Warenfabrik. Can you read any more of the first line?

                            Thanks,
                            Chip

                              Chip,

                              Thank you for your interrest.
I tried to read the first line of the maker´s stamp with a magnifier glass ,
but even in daylight I cannot read it.
                              Sorry !

                              Regards

                              Bernhard

Chip, it does look like it's F. Scheuermann. Are you by any chance keeping tabs on makers?
