Great photos Thanks for posting them. Most of the guys who
post SOS and MAX pictures seem to overlook Imperial items.

Nice photos - thanks for posting them. I believe the kneeling soldier statue (post 13) was made of coated resin or fiberglass - when I tapped it, it didn't seem to be concrete or stone as it appeared...?

              Hi Bernd,
Thanks for posting these pics! One day I'll get to the SOS myself. The first helmet you posted is for an officer of the 6th Kur. Regt, looks like an 1867 but could be later. Its a spectacular example and I'd love to own it- do you know how much it was selling for? The second helmet is an earlier 1840's helmet, I think for the 2nd Kur., and the third is certainly a Civil helmet of some sort...

              Cheers,
              Arran.

This guy wanted 12,500. 1842 model was 18,500. As I reported on Pickelhaubes.com many of the prices were just stupid. As a result, some dealers did not sell a great deal. Lots and lots of helmets came out of collections for the show-- a sign of the economy.

I thought there was a decent selection of Imperial German headgear at the SOS, although pickelhaube prices seemed generally high. My buddy beat me to a beautiful officer's peaked cap for the 9th Dragoons, at only $300. However, I plan on picking up a very nice nco's peaked cap for the 18th Saxon Hussars from a dealer soon.
Not a headgear item, but I bought a very nice m89 cavalry sword for the 19th Wurtemburg Ulans, for $300.

I don't have a digital camera, but I can borrow one, and then try to post photos. I have no doubt that it's authentic; regimental name on one side of the blade, galloping ulans, etc., on the other, and I believe the marking is for Carl Eickhorn. Bakelite grip is complete, and not cracked, scabbard has some paint loss, but is not banged up.

if the sword is in a very nice condition, it will have a value of 500-600 Euro

Sword was posted on the Imperial Militaria forum; my apologies.
