I have this "spare part" sitting around (for the case when I acquire my first pickelhaub and I need just this piece) and would like to get a proper description of what it is and it's applicability to what type of helmet, etc., so that I can label it and store it away.
The maker mark on the back is "Alexis Godillot Brevete S.G.D.G."
