The condition of your helmets is outstanding! It has always amazed me how these things survived at all, let alone look this good. It would appear that your bavarian reservist was manufactured prior to 1914, while your prussian line officer was constructed during the war. I like to pick up officer helmet construction variations and hope to show and tell in the future. Although the medals are VERY pretty, I am glad to see some piclkelhaubes are being discussed, too!

thanks for your nice words. I really enjoy my helmets and if I should buy some more, I will be looking for quality and good conditions. These officer's pickelhauben are great for a great display cabinet with other Imperial collectibles!

Encouraged by your words I am going to post the last of my helmets: a Wurttemberg Infantry Officer Pickelhaube.
