    Need Help Identifying Uniform

I am trying to identify my great grand uncles military uniform. I believe it to be early 1900's and perhaps Polish, as he was of Polish descent.

I have had several people who were knowledgeable in uniforms look at it and were perplexed.

I can't post it here on this board, but if you email me at KatOwens@aol.com I can email it to you and get your opinion.

I'm very eager to find out A. what era uniform and B. who's uniform it is. It has a collar and some tabs on the collar that are strange, as well as he's wearing a black leather strap across his chest.

    Thanks! Kathleen

I got a picture from Kathleen. I know the picture quality is not the best but I'm sure somebody will answer Kathleens questions!

This type of collar tab was worn by the Danzig Landespolizei between the wars. While this is not a Danzig Lapo uniform (not enough buttons) it may well be Polish related. I hope this helps.

        Hi Kathleen,

The uniform is Polish Army between the wars.

        Regards!

        John

You can clearly see the same uniform here. The only difference is the lack of officer's lace on the collars in your picture.
