Sorry, I cannot help you, but it looks brand new, and, the white kokarde? Maybe others with more knowledge will come forward.

Thanks, Chuck - much appreciated. I was unsure of that also and am not sure what white means or perhaps there is something else I am missing there that the more trained eye can see. As the helmet had been on estand for a bit without comment, thought it was ok. Any other comments appreciated. Thanks!

Maybe some better pictures would help. I had purchased one about five years ago that had never left its original box. I doubt it had even been worn. It looked like the day it had left the factory so there are some out there that are almost new in the box. I do not have an opinion on this one but do not write it off because of the condition.

Looks like ALL the Enamel Paint is missing from the Saxon Kokarde? Am I seeing this correctly?

I like parade plumes, but I also personally prefer a spike on an enlisted helmet like this. Just my personal preference. I'd rather see a plume on an officer helmet, unless it is some sort of rare enlisted unit. Just my two cents worth. This appears to be a "line" Saxon Infantry Regiment helmet.

Saxon helmets are Harder to Find, yes, of course, compared to Prussian & Bavarian helmets. But it's not the elite "100th Regiment" to parade. Again, just my two cents worth...

And I personally don't get too excited any longer about pre-war enlisted helmets that have No Regimental Issue Depot Markings on the underside of the back visor or elsewhere. Again, just my personal collecting preference. Not trying to kill a sale for the seller by stating this.

And "times are tough" for many right now who might be out of work with this stupid worldwide virus situation. Thus the helmet sitting on e-stand for as long as it has.
