'Pour le merite' model 1957 or reproduction?

Hi All

Found this today, at a very well-known website.
however, it is very hard to ID whether a 57 or reproduction?
to me both are the same?

Hi Eric,

I don't see the pictures, but it is clear, that a Pour le Merite can never be a model 1957. 1957ers are Third Reich decorations in an official changed design, based on the regulations from 1957/1958.

A PlM can only be an original or a reproduction/fake.

That is not the 1957 version.

This is a postwar PLM. Wearer's copy or collector's copy.

It‘s only a modern made spanish fake. I‘d rather look out for a PLM made by S&L in the 1957 period.
