Where to start ? Looking for help :)

I love WW2 german medals and I collect them. There are a few pices I'd like to have ( DK, KC ) but , for now, bugdet doesnt allow

So , one day, I decided to browse the imperial collections that were for sale at one dealers. Wow... found so many "would-love-to-own-that" pieces

I really really reallyyyy loved MVO . But not only, and as in WW2 medals, I belive the best allie when collectin them is education. I own several books and some dozens of bookmarks in how to detect the fakes and such. Now, I ask for you help : which books do you recomend ? Not only for MVO's, MVK's, etc, but regarding Imperial german medals ? And sites ? Informative one's, a equivalent to wehrmacht-awards but in a imperial fashion

if you could post a site or recommend a book that list the actual value of imperial medals will be real helpfull, because I really dont know any values

Nimmergut's "Deutschland Katalog 1800-1945" that comes out every 2 years (?) has an "official" price on everything. He also has a ribbons book (the "Bänderkatalog") which covers A ribbons 1800-1945, with numbers keyed to the price guide volume.

There are not pictures of everything, though, since it is meant as a pocket guide to take to shows.

Imperial is such a vast field that there is no one single book. Many things (like flying badges) have NEVER been covered in the detail collectors need.

Go through the old back pages, where many, many threads with EXCELLENT scans are stiored up, just waiting to be found again.
