    Who wore this ???

    Rick to the rescue....
    It is probably not possible to pinpoint it to one specific guy.... but can you guess what kin of guy had the following ?

    The group is as follows:-

    1. Order of the Red Eagle ( Prussia ) - Second Class without Swords.
    2. Order of the Crown ( Prussia XXV )
    3. Military Service Cross ( Prussia )
    4. Colonial Commemoration Medal bar "Sudwestafrika 1897/98"
    5. South West Africa 1904 - 06 commemoration Medal - For Service to the Expedition ( Silver - presumably officer's
    private striking )
    6. China Commemoration Medal - For Service to the Expedition ( Silver - presumably also officer's private striking)
    7. Kaiser Wilhelm 1 Commemoration Medal.
    8. Military Service Order - Bavaria.
    9. Order of Frederick - Wurttemberg.

      You mean Red Eagle Order 4th Class (silver arms), Prussian Crown Order-- 3rd Class (white enamel arms) or 4th Class (gold arms), Bavarian MMO peacetime-- flames between the arms or not? Wtbg Friedrich Order Knight 1st (enamel arms?) or 2nd (silver arms)-- no swords on ANY of the Orders?

      Gotta get it RIGHT before going through 1200 pages of annual Fraktur and award glyphs!

          Never fear-- I got 'im. Will wait on posting until I hear if you're buying or what... mustn't tip the cards. Staff Major, 1869-1915, got himself killed in East Africa in January 1915.

          Also, the Boonzaier PM box is, once again, full!!!!!!

              Righto, with his 1913/14 Saxon Albert Order-Knight 1st not mounted (may have been awarded after he went to Africa).

              Alas, this bar remains on the Dark Continent!
