1870 EK2 in a very special case

This 1870 EK2 has been in my collection for several years. It is the same example shown in the book "The Iron Time" on the bottom right of page 98. This set includes everything an EK recipient will ever need for every occasions. The case is made of elephant skin( I hope there isn't any animals rights campaigner in the forum ).

Very nice, Hannibal!

I passed up a similar complete, cased non-combatant 1870 EK 2 set on my first pass through a military show several years ago. By the time I made my second pass, it was gone. I am still kicking myself -- hard.

Thank you all for your comments . I know how you feel George, I was also offer the 1870 EK2 with the oak and the 1914 sponge from the same dealer who sold me this set but didn't have fund to buy it . Well that's life you just can't have everything .
