Cased 1914 EK from Klein & Quenzer

Hi folks, I’d like to add to my small “imperial / WW1 corner” of my collection (spiked helmet and trench knife) a cased 1914 Iron Cross. My collecting focus is SA and NSKK during TR/WW2, therefore I have no real knowledge of this WW1 award and I’m seeking your help and support. This one is for sale for $270. Is it original and ok? I was told manufacturer is Klein & Quenzer. Is it a fair price based on condition? Thank you so much for your opinions

KO EKs are not very well made, beautiful or rare but the cross and case are original award-types from WWI and the price is decent.

Imperial EKs can be things of great beauty and impeccable craftsmanship: real works of art, almost like fine jewelry. Some of the best makers or award-type EK1s are Godet (G), Friedländer (FR), or Wagner (W).
        Best regards,
        Streptile
