    is it original mint german I WW trench knife?

    Hello! is it original WW I german trench knife?
    IMO looks good, the condition is mint, unfortunately i'm not an expert.. What do you think about this knife?

      is it a knife from the first war or postwar (post IWW)?

        This is the same pattern as Hitlerjugend knife. Without insignia, so it's not HJ. Post Ww2 these knifes were in use with west german boy scouts, so I'd say it's one of these. Still a nice knife IMHO.

            Is a WWI officier combat knife w/out dubt.

            The "classic" WWI combat knife in our mind is a Sturmtruppe knife with hood grips.

            Nice and in good condition.

                  I also think it is of the WWI era. Not much need for more production of these in the interwar period, as these were plenty still available. During WWI they were practical weapons and symbols of trench warfare combat.
