I thought this medalbar was really odd when I first saw it. I looked on the left and saw a medal with a likeness of Czar Nicholas. Upon a closer look I was able to see that it is Czar Nicky. This is a medalbar to a Saxon enlisted person. The medals are: 1914 EK2, FA in bronze, Hindenburg, Saxon 15 year service (I believe this is the Long Service Cross for enlisted, if it is for officers please let me know), Russian medal. Does anyone know the official name of this Russian medal? Also what is written on the medal. I am told that the Czar gave these medal out when he visited Army Units. He must have gone to Saxony. Is there a Saxon unit named after the Czar?

The imperial Zeal medals were awarded not infrequently to German soldiers, officials and military Beamten before the war for various reasons. Mostly they recognized personal service to the Czar (or Czarina, who sometimes visited Hesse) on a trip-or merit where the soldier was a member of a regiment where the Czar was nominal Chef.
However, the Zeal medals were also handed out frequently by White Russian Generals for service during the Russian civil war. Hundreds of german ex-POWs ended up fighting against the Bolshiviki with Admiral Kolchak. Some walked all the way out of Russia after their defeat.
My money would be on the medal having been awarded for pre-war merit and then mounted @1936-40 after the guy got his HKx. Also, the LS medal indicates NCO-probably a senior one.
