    Badge with Imperial monogram LW

Wondering if someone can help me identify this badge made by B.H. Mayer. Initials say LW, plus there is a date 1927 and mention about 75th Anniversary (of something). I was trying to find some German king, prince or duke with such initials and possibility of having some 75th jubileum in 1927 (birth, wedding, death), but got lost in the sheer territory of this theme.

    Thanks in advance

      Lw

The Infantry Regt. 111 (Baden) used an intertwined "LW" cypher and crown which may be what these are related to. I don't know the 75-year reference but it might be the founding date for the regiment.

Yes it is a commemorative pin that celebrates the establishing of INFANTERIE REGIMENT MARKGRAF LUDWIG WILHELM (hence LW) (3. Badische) Nr.111 75 years prior to 1927 (=1852).

        PS: nice pins!

Looks like Bingo. Infantry Rgt. 111 (3. Badischer) "Ludwig Wilhelm" used this kind of monogram and was indeed founded 22. 10. 1852, 75 years before 1927.

          Thank you very much!

            Thanks!

I keep these items for 3 months, without any result to my ID effort. But I must admit I went quite wrong way. To me the crown looked like the one on Sachsen-Altenburg Napoleonic campaign medal, plus there was some Sachsen-Ernestinscher stuff with it (though just ribbon and ribbon bar). I spent lot of time hanging around Sachsen...
