In order of zar Nikolai II, prussian general-major and commander of 19 infantry brigade Leo von Klingspor was awarded by orden of St. Stanislav 1-class without swords.

Hi Brian,

the first document was signed by Generalmajor Hermann von Holleben (5.3.1804 - 10.4.1878), then director of the Higher Military Examinations Commission. Later he rose to the rank of General der Infanterie and became President of the Higher Military Examinations Commission.

Daniel, this is tough to read. I was going to photo on a sunny day, blow it up and see if my mother could translate...

...and Rick, yes original signature on the 1866 Koeniggraetz. ...and on the large doc 1866 signed 1867 Der Oberbefehlshaber der II. Armee. Ideas who they were?

...the seal dropped off the Russian doc. and it's "somewhere" in an envelope. But as with everything else, I've no doubt it will surface.

It is the Red Eagle 3rd with Bow, meaning some where there is a doc for a Red Eagle 4th out there, or was.

Here's the doc I really think has some historical significance. The "zum Offizer" of a Prussian soldier circa 1859.

It's very large but it's the only way you'll see the words, faded and very tiny.
